Ordination Symptoms
Physical and Spiritual Effects Preceding Ordination
Since the mid to late 1990s, Dan has cataloged many common physical and spiritual symptoms experienced by people 2 weeks to 2 months before ordination. These are symptoms of the kundalini energy awakening, in preparation to receiving the spiritual fire from the ordination.
This energy quickens at the base of the spine, and then the kundalini rises towards your enlightenment—or your Buddhahood, if you want to think of it that way. As it rises, energy that was stuck is dislodged and may lead to physical symptoms manifesting themselves, related to the chakras and energy centers affected.
These symptoms closely resemble those reported by near-death experience (NDE) survivors. They have a shared energetic transformation process.
The list of symptoms includes sensory, neurological, and emotional experiences related to chakra activation. Not everyone experiences the same symptoms, and some people don’t experience any symptoms at all.

“A really nasty headache that lasts about three days. And from those who've had it, they’ve said it's worse than a migraine.”

“It feels as if you have a rubber band or something really tight strapped around your forehead, or your third eye.”
“You don't have a cold but for about three days you'll have a runny nose, and then that eventually goes away as well. The energy comes up and reaches your third eye, affecting your sinuses which produces the runny nose.”

5. Ringing in the Ears
“For some people that's tinnitus, but this is not that. This is a harmonic that comes into your left or right ear, and that's the ear that you're going to hear Spirit from. When you're inclined to listen to your intuition or the sound, it basically means that you're working somewhere, somehow. When I get it, I know that part of me—part of my energy—is also in other places, I'm doing some kind of work. It's like you got a telephone call, that's your inner cell phone.”

“Related to the fire from the solar flares, this one happens sometimes when in the shower. It isn't food poisoning. Some have it as vertigo and get the nausea but don't have the vomiting. Seem to be more intense during solar flares.”

“A constant clearing of the throat, like you’re coughing up a hairball. That's your throat chakra event going on. It feels like you just can't clear your throat. Now, that often happens to me before I'm ready to teach a class. Like the day before I'll start trying to clear my throat and that'll go on for hours and hours. The minute I sit down and start teaching, it goes away.”

“The awareness of this came during the harmonic convergence. A lot of people ended up going to the the emergency ward in the hospital because what it felt like is their heart was going to jump right out of their chest. They had all these tests done only to be told, "Gee, there's nothing wrong with you. We've done all these tests, but you know, let us know what's going on." Well, I talked to Tom about it. And he said, "Well, the heart chakra is opening, and when that happens, it's like a birthday present, but you don't know how to play with it yet."“

“As a species, we stand up and walk or try to and so we get a lot of back pain from this thing or that. That's not what I'm talking about. There was one evening many years ago when Tom was teaching and at the end of his session he said “now, some of you are going to feel lower back pain during this week, and when you do there's nothing wrong with your back, you're having kundalini activated.” A lot of us got on the phone during the week and checked in on one another, and sure enough, a lot of us had this lower back pain.”

“I get those so bad that I soak the bed. I wake up in the middle of the night and you could ring out my sheets. But all that is a part of this energy thing as well. Sometimes, I will remember that I was working. I mean, there was one night that I was actually speaking in Spanish, teaching classes. There's a lot of activity that we participate in when we go to sleep at night. We go into another dimension or dimensions, and the energy it takes to do that, I think at least for me, ends up being perspiration.”

“Oh my god. Middle of the night, middle of the morning, whenever, before I get out of bed, leg cramps so bad. That pain is unbelievable. But Rev Gary Nikki gave me some little white tablets to take for leg cramps. The other cure that you can use at night if you're waking up with it is put yellow mustard under your tongue and within about 15 minutes, the leg cramps are gone. Those little tablets that we have here is what we use.”

“For the women only, one of the other effects is thinking that you're pregnant, but you're not. It doesn't matter whether you're a young or old woman. Some gals have gone to the doctor and he'll say, "I don't know how to tell you this, but you're not pregnant. I hope that doesn't upset you.””

“Flu-like symptoms to the point that you might actually be in bed for several days. But this is not the flu, it's not a cold, it's what's happening with the energy in your body.”
“We have between four and seven dreams every night. When you're awake, and you're no longer asleep and having dreams, follow your intuition because a lot of times the messages that you've been given in your dreams, you're going to find in your awakened state. Like why don't you go to the bookstore, or why don't you do this, or call so and so. I enjoy my dream time because I get to visit with a lot of you people and a lot of relatives and and folks that I haven't seen in like 40 years. It's been really cool.”

“Often times I'll be talking about this in a class and somebody will say, often a woman, "Well, my god, Dan, what's the difference between this and menopause?" And I said, "Well, I can't vouch for the menopause, but I know it's not that." What it is is your nervous system is running hot and cold, with the energy that's coming through.”

“I go through a lot of these things about a week or two before the I teach a class. I'm going to work and that's why I'm having this happen. So, it's not something you ate.”
“The last one would affect your sex life, assuming you have one. And in that case, you want to have sex all the time or not at all. So, I hope your partner is okay about the frequency or the lack thereof, but that's what's going on.”
